Cameras can capture what the eye can’t perceive: the presence of infrared light. Shooting infrared (IR) with a digital camera makes it easier than ever to create distinctively dreamlike, high-contrast black-and-white photos. By capturing a different spectrum of light, IR can add dramatic effects to landscape photos, portraits, and really anything you choose to shoot. The effect of white trees against dark skies or the milky luminescence of skin allows you to push your photos farther than you are able to do normally.
This class will cover tips on focus and exposure; IR filters; and having a camera converted to shoot specifically in Infrared. There will also be a demonstration of post-processing techniques in Lightroom and Photoshop.
